In the summer, I was approached by Zwift about becoming involved in their Community Racing Festival.  They knew they were “pushing on an open door.”  Time has flown and now the event is upon us and the Community Racing Festival is due to start on October 7th .

What is the Zwift Community Racing Festival

As Zwift explains:

“We’re thrilled to introduce an exciting new chapter for our racing community! We’ve heard your feedback about the calendar, and we’re excited to announce a dynamic new series. Our goal is to shine a spotlight on the vibrant world of community racing and elevate the amazing work of our top 35 racing organisers.

From October 7th to November 24th, ZRacing will bring you the “Community Racing Festival,” where we’ll feature a series of exhilarating events hosted by community clubs. This is a chance to dive into the rich tapestry of community racing, discover new clubs, and connect with Zwift Racing League teams and other key racing series. For our clubs, this is a golden opportunity to increase visibility, grow membership, and showcase their events to a wider audience.

Get ready for an action-packed festival celebrating the passion and enthusiasm that fuels our racing community. Let’s make this the most thrilling season yet!”

What does it all mean?

Each day, over the month, there will be a race hosted by a different community.  Mountain Massif will be given the spotlight on Friday 25th October.  Introducing Mountain Massif’s event will be 52-year commentating legend, Phil Liggett.

The race will be hosted on the Coast Crown Loop, which is 15km long with 185 meters of elevation, so there is an element of climbing but not too much.
