Vekta is a new training platform that launched on 7th April 2025 and is being described as “the most advanced training and coaching platform, delivering unmatched precision and in-depth analysis for endurance sports.”

Where Vekta stands apart from other training platforms is in how it utilises AI but not as a substitute for coaches. Rather than replacing the human touch, Vekta equips coaches with advanced, AI-driven insights that allow them to refine training strategies in real time and ultimately delivering a more personalised, effective coaching experience.

To help with the development of the product, the team at Vekta have collaborated with leading Pro Cycling teams.  To collate athlete feedback, they have worked with Eddie Dunbar, two times stage winner at the Vuelta a España as well as two times Olympic champion Katie Archibald.  And their input has been used to shape the product.

It will be accessible via your desktop and mobile app and costs €19.99 / £17,99 / $21,99 a month, per athlete but is free for coaches, and they will offer unrestricted access to all features to coaches.

What Vekta means

I caught up with Founder and CEO, Paul-Antoine Girard who explained that the name Vekta is a fusion of three concepts.

The first concept is “Vector”, which symbolizes direction and purpose.  Vekta’s objective is to guide athletes, focusing their efforts on achieving their dreams.

The second is “Hecta”, whichcomes from the Greek word for “hundred” and represents growth.  Vekta aim is to amplify potential and multiply performance.

The third is the letter “V”, which stands for victory. It also denotes velocity, reflecting the determination athletes need to achieve their dreams.

As Paul-Antoine stated, “Together, Vekta carries our promises: multiply potential and provide a clear path to big achievements for those who live and breathe endurance sports.”

What Vekta does

Vekta’s overarching vision is to provide all athletes with the right tools for them to make their dreams a reality whilst simultaneously helping coaches scale their businessTo achieve this, Vekta’s platform will analyse up to five years of training data and interpret this into precise, personalised feedback.

Three key functions of the product are:

Analysis – Vekta will analyse up to five years of training data, then transform it into the most personalised training strategies.

Insights – AI delivers performance analysis, providing insights into every session and race.

Feedback – AI-driven insights provide actionable feedback.

Using my recent training data, Vekta summarised that my peak 20-minute power was 366 watts, with that dropping to 346 watts in the last year.

Vekta has many key features. Here is a selection of what you can expect when it launches:

  • Session AI Summary – Vekta’s AI analyses your sessions, providing a summary of highlights about standout efforts, and is immediately accessible right after upload.
  • Session Comparison – Vekta automatically retrieves and displays most comparable sessions, allowing you to visualise differences in data, helping track progress.
  • Race Comparison – Vekta’s Race Comparison tool allows you to view races side-by-side to compare power and pacing, gaining an insight into your race performance.
  • Dynamic Training Zones – Vekta offers “Adaptive Training Zones” that adjust daily to reflect your fitness progress.
  • Automatic Threshold Analysis – Vekta’s algorithms calculate Critical Power (CP), ensuring your training zones stay accurate and up-to-date, adapting to your progress.

Pricing

As noted, Vekta launched on 7th April 2025 and will be priced at €19.99 / £17,99 / $21,99 per month per athlete and this can be paid for by the coach or by the athlete. Or you can have a year subscription which is €179.99 / £159,99 / $199,99 and this works out a slightly rate cheaper per month.

What this means is that if you don’t have a coach, you are classed as a self-coached athlete, and have free access to all the coaching features that the product offers, you just need to pay for yourself as an athlete.

There is an initial offering of a 1-month free trial, and if you are a coach, during that period you can add an unlimited number of athletes for free during their first month.

Partnerships

To help in the development of the product and to help where it is nearly ready to be released, Vekta partnered with leading World Tour Pro Cycling teams.

With a leading World Tour team, they provided a custom database for their in-team data scientist to use to perform their own custom research on riders’ data.

They also offered them a suite of custom internal apps that provided additional features, e.g. comparison of rider performance, including a weekly dashboard to inform management, race analysis, and even race predictions utilising the data collated.  This was all in addition to the standard platform where coaches set up their athletes’ sessions, analyse sessions and track all our proprietary metrics such as volume and intensity.

This collaboration helped with developing the product, including the enhancement of the experience for the user and the enhancement of the interfaces.

History of Vekta

There are three founders of Vekta, Paul-Antoine Girard (Chief Executive Officer), Samuel Souci (Chief Operating Officer) and Doron Israel (Chief Technology Officer).  They all met during their studies and what these three share is a common passion for sport and an educational background in Mathematics.

Paul-Antoine practiced cross-country skiing before pursuing a degree in Mathematics and Economics at Paris Dauphine University, then went on to study Data Science, obtaining an MSc at HEC Paris and École Polytechnique.

Samuel practiced competitive alpine skiing and tennis from a young aged and also obtained a degree in Mathematics and Economics which was followed up with an MSc at HEC Paris and École Polytechnique, where he met Paul-Antoine.

Doron is a running fanatic but also has a strong interest in handball.  Like Paul-Antoine and Samuel, he has a background in Mathematics, holding a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Paris Dauphine University.

These three friends decided to focus their energy and technical skills in an area that they were passionate about – sports performance.  Soon after graduating, they incorporated the company and focused on elite cycling.    They have now built an endurance training platform that aims to compete with leading industry giants like TrainingPeaks.  Through partnerships with elite cycling teams, they have developed a platform that uses precise AI-driven automations to provide insights and analytics.

The future

Vekta has a clear direction for the product and after its initial launch the following functionality will be added over time:

  • More data integrations with platforms. This includes Zwift.
  • Release the same features for other sports such as running, swimming and triathlon.
  • An enhanced athlete mobile app, with access to more insights & AI recommendations.
  • A coach mobile app to have the same value on both desktop and mobile.
  • Enhanced assistance for coaches building training plans with AI.

Summary

Vekta is set to revolutionize endurance training and coaching with its AI-powered platform will offer personalised insights and analysis based on extensive training data. By collaborating with top cycling teams and athletes, Vekta aims to provide both athletes and coaches with the tools necessary to improve their performance.
