Zwift Release 1.77 will be launched on Tuesday, October 29th at approximately 15:30 UTC.  The update has a number of enhancements to the game’s functionality, which include the following:

All Platforms

  • Items in the Garage (frames, wheels, kit) are now automatically sorted by most recent use.
  • Zwifters have a new cycling badge to collect! The BRAEk-fast Crits and Grits route in Scotland is now available for all Zwifters and grants XP and a badge upon completion.
  • Zwifters now earn 1.5x bonus XP when doing workouts on Tour of Watopia routes.
  • Looking for a friendly wheel to join? Zwifters will now receive a notification when a friend starts Zwifting in the same world. Simply use the Teleport feature to join them.
  • Runners can now open the Pairing screen and continue running in-game at the same time.
  • The gradient percentage shown in the dynamic elevation display now changes more smoothly during a climb.
  • The symbol for the distance indicator in the HUD has now been updated to provide 100% (IYKYK) clarity.
  • The font size in the left section of the HUD has been increased to improve readability.
  • The estimated difficulty and duration for the Navig8 and Power to the Tower routes in Watopia are now more accurate.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Zwifters Nearby list to not be visible when fan viewing another Zwifter in an event paddock.
  • Fixed an issue where the virtual shifting gear indicator was not displayed after pausing a workout.
  • Fixed an issue that could potentially cause flashing orbs to appear on the Epic KOM in Watopia.

Mac & PC

  • If a group ride leader or sweeper leaves the group ride, their beacon will transition to the alternate ride leader or sweeper after 1 minute instead of the previous 10 minutes. This is now consistent across all platforms.

Android

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent Bluetooth devices from reconnecting after a disconnection.

Summing up

Lots of nice fixes in the latest release, but the standout update in having the Garage sorted by most used items. This will be interesting and hope it improves things.

The Garage feature has been one which people have raised questions about for many years, perhaps there will be additional functionality where items can be “put into storage” to slim things down even further. Still, any improvement over what is currently there, will be a positive step forward.
