The Tour de France is on the horizon and Zwift are joining in the fun. Like the previous year, they are going to be hosting some of the Tour’s iconic climbs in their Climb Portal.
Climbing Challenge
Zwift are the Official Training Software Provider to the Tour de France and as a result, are hosting a Climb Portal Challenge with four iconic climbs from the 2025 Tour de France.
The climbs, which you will have a month to summit, are as follows:
- Mûr De Bretagne, tackled on Stage 7
- Col de la Croix Saint-Robert from Stage 10
- Hautacam from Stage 12
- Col de la Madeleine from Stage 18

Events and unlock
Zwift has noted that “Climb Portal Events will be running throughout the challenge, offering a social group experience for Zwifters wishing to complete the Tour de France virtual climbs alongside others.”
If you complete the four climbs, you will unlock the Didi the Devil Kit and Cap, which are certainly unique and worth the effort.

L’Étape Virtual event and Ven-Top
In addition to the climbs, Zwift are hosting the L’Étape Virtual, from 18th -20th July, with the aim of “recreating L’Étape du Tour de France, the world’s most famous amateur cycling event.”
This event will work with all RoboPacers setting off together for the first time and riders can then ride at their own pace.
In addition to this, on 22nd July, as Zwift states “to celebrate Stage 16 of the Tour de France, featuring Mont Ventoux, Zwift will host group rides on Ven-Top, the in-game replica of this legendary climb.”
It’s a full-on set of events coming, so to register for these, sign up here.
