The recent Zwift Community Live provided a unique opportunity for Zwift Event Organisers and Race Teams to come together in a way that has never been done before. In total, there were 30 different communities represented.
It provided an opportunity to better understand what each community has to offer. Below is a selection of some of the groups that I connected with, so if you fancy trying something different on Zwift, you may consider joining one of their rides or races or even becoming part of their community, club or race team.
Different communities examined

Name: QueenBee Ladies
About: Based in Australia the QueenBees launched in 2019, by four friends, Naomi Feder, Hayley Lambourn, Bella Dutton and Letti Melbz. I connected with one of their founders, Letti Melbz who explained “The QueenBees are a group of women who share a love of cycling. Just as a hive works together to bring out the best in every member of the community, so do we. We strive to support, empower and encourage women to live their best lives, no matter where they are on their life, cycling or fitness journey.”
They currently offer six social rides opportunities per week on Zwift’s public calendar, along with weekly TTT and other race opportunities throughout the year. They cover all world time zones, with ride leaders based in Australia, North America and Europe. Currently, they are looking at expanding their rides to cover other regions and time zones, so watch this space.
Goal: Their goal is to empower, support, and encourage all women to ride bikes and take control of their fitness, no matter what stage of life they are in.

About: Founded in 2020, Aeonian Race Team was born from a passion to create an empowering and inclusive environment where women feel truly supported and inspired. I connected with their founder, Karla who explained that “Our mission is to help female cyclists grow in confidence, skill, and community, whether they’re just starting out or pushing toward elite-level goals. We take pride in nurturing talent and celebrating every milestone, from podium finishes to personal breakthroughs. Competing at both Elite and Community levels, our team proudly represents a global network of riders brought together by their shared love for the sport and the joy of racing together.”
Goal: Karla explained that “Our vision goes beyond the racecourse. At Aeonian, we’re building a powerful, connected tribe, a community where women lift each other up, not only in cycling but in every aspect of life. Whether it’s through mentorship, friendship, or motivation, our goal is to create a lasting impact that supports each member on and off the bike.”
