Part 3 of this overview of a selected number of Zwift clubs that are in operation takes a look at three very different communities, one of which is the oldest on Zwift, Swedish Zwift Riders, or SZR for short.

Name: Swedish Zwift Riders
About: The origins of Swedish Zwift Riders (SZR) can be traced back to an exact date, 26th September 2015, to be precise. Zwift was still in beta, and it was noticed by Martin Björgvik that there were a few Swedish riders on Zwift. Facebook was used to create a space to support the Swedish Zwifters. Martin noted that “We soon started to create group rides and races on Zwift and when ZwiftPower was founded in early 2016 we were quickly getting races into ZwiftPower as we love racing and group rides.”
Since those early days, the community has grown to over 12,000 members and now SZR host more than 30 rides and group workouts each week, ranging from early morning rides to late night
Martin explained that “We have also started a race part of the community for those really into racing we do encourage these racers to race in the bigger Zwift races like ZRL, WTRL TTT, Tiny races and, lately also a lot of Ladder races. So, we feel we have something for everyone to enjoy in the Zwift world.”
Goal: They have clear goals. One is to help new Zwifters get setup and help out with any issues. Their other goal is to have a thriving community with lots of activities for all the community riders. And given that they have survived the test of time, they are doing a great job of providing something for all the Zwifters out there.

Name: EZ Riders
About: EZ Riders (EZR) is a Zwift-centric, virtual on-line biking community, founded in 2018.
They are a supportive community of cyclists offering a wide variety of group rides (some banded), typically at a pace of 1.8 w/kg and below with most in the 1.0-1.5 w/kg range. This pace allows many to join for people who prefer a casual to moderate pace depending on abilities; new to Zwift, new to cycling, injury rehabilitation or just enjoy riding together with a friendly group of like-minded cyclists.
They are one of the larger on-line communities on Zwift with over 6800 members currently supported by an amazing group of ride leaders and sweeps that keep all our rides running smoothly. They welcome all abilities and love to have new riders join the group.
There are rides 7 days per week, typically 2 per day, catering to different time zones, with riders joining us from all over the world. Currently, they offer a regular schedule of 14 rides each week. In addition, they also have a few regular meet-up events that we open up to everyone on Zwift. This includes a popular weekly rotating Monday evening ride (EDT) of Pancake Pedalers for those who prefer it flat and Gravity Defiers for those who like climbing. Both are banded.

Name: Bikealicious
About: Bikealicious was founded on a simple belief – “Cycling on Zwift should be fun, inclusive, and welcoming for all.”
As Cecilia Catalán describes, “We’re a passionate and eclectic community of cycling enthusiasts who value friendship, respect, and a shared love for the ride. Our mission is to make group riding and racing more enjoyable—while delivering a solid workout as a bonus.
We welcome all riders. Whether you’re here for fitness, fun, or friendly competition, you belong. The only thing we ask? Bring a positive attitude and help lift the group, never limit it.”
Bikealicious have 22 weekly events and their vision is to grow a strong, supportive membership of like-minded riders who show up regularly on their group rides and, if they fancy, be part of their race team.
Cecilia explains that “We aim to be one of the top communities on Zwift, with the best rides, led by dedicated leaders, and supported by a team that makes every rider feel seen, supported, and encouraged to show up again and again.”
They have three core values, which are:
- Contribute more than you take.
- Respect everyone’s ride.
- Keep it kind, keep it fun.
“As we grow and evolve, so does our structure—but our heart remains the same: we ride together to make every experience better for all,” Cecilia notes.
Goals: Their goal is to be one of the most inspiring and welcoming groups on Zwift, where every ride is guided by passionate leaders, supported by a dedicated team, and filled with the joy of movement and connection. They believe in loving what you do, enjoying every ride, and choosing joy, together.
