Zwift release 1.63 will be launched on Tuesday, April 16th at approximately 16:00 UTC. 

Major Feature updates

The big news from the release is that the new routes, which were released for the Zwift Games, will now be accessible to ride.  There routes include:   

  • Loop de Loop
  • Zwift Games 2024 Epic
  • Castle Crit Run
  • Big Flat 8
  • Mountain Mash
  • Spiral into the Volcano
  • Castle Crit
  • Jurassic Coast

Minor Feature updates

There are minor updates which include:

  • Zwift Play: Brake sensitivity can now be adjusted in Settings, ranging from maximum sensitivity to off.
  • In-game achievement banners are now displayed for a longer period to make sure you don’t miss a celebratory moment.

Fixes

Zwift continue to tweak and resolve identified issues with the platform, which are as follows:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause cyclists with connected steering devices to automatically steer towards the centre of a lane after a while.
  • Virtual Shifting: Fixed an issue in workouts where shifting quickly after starting a Free Ride block could result in the current gear being reset to 12.
  • Fixed an issue that could potentially make it difficult to dismiss the Ride Report when navigating with a keyboard, Apple TV remote, or Zwift Play.
  • Fixed a potential crash that could occur when capturing a screenshot.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent some treadmills from connecting to Zwift.

Android:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause screenshots to not be saved on some Android devices.

Summing up 

In summary, it’s positive that are are new routes to ride and race. Having additional courses allows a greater range of events to be hosted, and keeps racing entertaining.
